Inclinement Weather Policy

In cooperation with local authorities and in an attempt to keep the community safe, the YMCA has adopted the following procedures regarding YMCA services during inclement weather.

Level II Emergency: All YMCA classes are cancelled.  Regular YMCA operational hours apply. Classes will not be rescheduled or made up.

Level III Emergency: The YMCA will be closed and will remain closed for the day, opening the following day only if the Level III Emergency has been lifted. Classes will not be rescheduled or made up.

YMCA Childcare Centers: The Childcare Centers in Greenville and Versailles will remain open until a Level III Emergency condition is announced.  Parents will be immediately notified and asked to pick up their child as soon as they are able.  This allows for working parents to make arrangements for picking up their children from the Childcare Center.  The Center will open the following day only if the Level III Emergency has been lifted.

Tobacco Use Policy

The purpose of the YMCA of Darke County is to help individuals develop a stronger spirit, mind, and body.  In an effort to help our members, program participants, and childcare families accomplish this goal we ask that all tobacco products be disposed of properly before approaching the YMCA building entrances as a courtesy to individuals who do not smoke.
